Is FINDER secure?

FINDER is designated to meet the technological directives established by the federal government for sharing law enforcement data including LEXS-ST, CJIS, and FIPS 140-2. FINDER also uses AWS GovCloud. This ensures a path to future expansion.

Is FINDER a data warehouse?

No. FINDER is a distributed network with federated queries. We do not warehouse data, and your agency data stays at your agency. FINDER provides an interface to allow other agencies to have access to your information, while leaving you in control of your data. (However, FINDER can be implemented for data warehouses which require data storage at a specific law enforcement agency.

How many agencies are using FINDER?

There are over 200 agencies across the southeast using FINDER.

How many users can my agency have on FINDER?

There are no “per user” charges and no limits on the number of users within an agency.

Is there a users guide for FINDER?

Yes, you can access the FINDER users guide from within the FINDER platform under the “SUPPORT” tab and then “ONLINE HELP”.

What are the server requirements for my agency?

FINDER can run on a minimum system (such as an Intel Duo class processor), 8GB RAM, 100 GB storage space.

What is needed to implement FINDER as our data sharing system?

An MOU with FINDER, Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard or higher. See the IT FAQ’s for more information.
